Video Interview, September, 2012
View Sogan Rinpoche's interview with English teacher, Sonam Kyi, recorded in 2012 at the TSF-sponsored Kunsel Kyetsal school in Golok.
With great satisfaction and deep appreciation for the generosity of our many supporters, we celebrated the completion of the construction of Kunsel Kyetsal in the summer of 2007. In the years since, the facility has provided a modern learning environment for hundreds of Golok's young Tibetan nomads. In the photo galleries below, you can trace the progress of TSF's first project from groundbreaking ceremonies to inaugural festivities to the daily routine of busy students and teachers.
In 2005 and 2007, representatives of The Sogan Foundation journeyed to Golok and returned with remarkable photos and first-hand experiences of a traditional society with much to offer the modern world.
The tragic earthquake in Kyigudo in 2010 resulted in a lengthy and ongoing recovery process that brought tremendous challenges to survivors in this impoverished remote Tibetan community.
More photos and news about TSF founder and chairman Sogan Rinpoche are posted at Tupten Osel Choling, the website of his California dharma group.
